MobileDesigning a clearer way to manage everyday school operations.
Edcato is a school management platform that brings attendance, student and staff records, examinations, and marks into a single product. I led its UX design and designed the product end to end.

A greeting with the date and academic year, a key insight on fee collection, and overview cards for students, attendance, fees and staff present.
One platform for the school day.
Edcato covers the administrative work that keeps a school running — taking attendance, keeping student and staff records, and managing examinations and marks — in a single product.

Many routines, one product.
A school’s day is built from routines that depend on each other. Attendance is taken class by class. Student and staff information has to stay current. Examinations are scheduled, and marks are recorded against them.
Each of these could be its own tool. The design challenge was to organise them into one coherent platform — so moving between modules feels like moving around the same place, not switching between different products.
NoteThis framing describes the scope of the product. It is not a summary of user research findings.
Leading the UX, end to end.
As UX Design Lead on Edcato for a year and a month, I was responsible for the product’s user experience from start to finish — designing the platform across all of its modules rather than a single feature within it.
Three workflows at the core.
Each workflow pairs the task with real Edcato screens. Tap a screen to see it larger.
Getting in, getting oriented
TaskSign in and see how the school is doing today.
After a simple sign-in, the dashboard opens with the date and academic year, a key insight, and overview cards for students, attendance, fees and staff.
Student records
TaskKeep information about students in one dependable place.
The students area starts with totals and enrolment health, then a searchable, filterable list of records with clear status tags.
Exams, status and fees
TaskKeep track of upcoming examinations, student status and fee collection.
Insights bring upcoming exams, student distribution and a fee overview together; a status breakdown and class-wise fee collection go a level deeper.
